Translator in London has been selected by Small Business Saturday UK, supported by American Express, as one of the Nation's Favourite Businesses 2026 — a national celebration of the independent businesses that people across the UK admire most.
This year's list features small businesses that connect communities beyond the UK, and Translator in London is one of just 19 businesses chosen from across London. Since 2008, we have helped businesses, institutions and professionals communicate confidently across English and Spanish, bridging British and Hispanic business cultures for clients in the UK, Spain and Latin America.
About the campaign
Small Business Saturday UK is the country's largest grassroots campaign in support of small businesses. Each year it highlights a selection of Nation's Favourite Businesses ahead of Small Business Saturday itself, which falls on 5 December 2026.
“Small businesses have always been, and will continue to be, among the nation’s favourite businesses. Whether on our high streets, online or embedded in local communities, they play a vital role in the places we live and in the strength of our economy, said Michelle Ovens CBE, Director of Small Business Saturday UK.

What this recognition means to me
I founded Translator in London in 2008, shortly after my first daughter was born, with one idea at its heart: that clients should always know exactly who is responsible for their translation or interpreting assignment.
Eighteen years on, that has not changed. I personally quote, oversee, certify and sign every project, and when an assignment calls for a sworn translator for Spain or a conference interpreting team, I work with a small circle of trusted, accredited colleagues — so there is always one named professional accountable for the result.
Being recognised as one of the nation's favourite businesses is a reminder that this way of working still matters, perhaps more than ever, at a time when so much translation is being handed to machines with no one signing their name to it.
Thank you
This recognition belongs to every client who has trusted us over the years: the individuals preparing visa applications, the solicitors and notaries who rely on our certified translations, the corporate, media and diplomatic clients who invite us into their most important conversations, and the Spanish-speaking businesses we help to find their feet in the UK. Thank you.
Working with us
If you need a certified Spanish-English translation accepted by UKVI, the NHS, solicitors and notaries, or a professional interpreter for a meeting, training course, event or delegation, we would be delighted to help.
